Place all ingredients, except coconut cream, in a saucepan.
Bring to the boil and reduce heat to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to avoid mixture sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
Continue to cook slowly until the rice is cooked (or at the desired consistency) and covered in a creamy chocolate sauce, about 30 to 40 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the coconut cream.
