Kidney friendly ready made meals

The following information is for people with chronic kidney disease who want to pick healthier ready-made meals or want to make healthier choices while out and about.

These meals are ok for you to eat every once-in-a-while, but note that cooking from fresh where possible is always recommended for day-to-day meals and snacks.

Kidney Friendly Ready Made Meals for CKD (not dialysis)

If you plan to include ready-made meals (from a supermarket or a food delivery service) in a healthy meal plan, we suggest increasing your serve of vegetables by adding a side salad, mixed frozen vegetables or home roasted vegetables to serve alongside.

This will help to make the finished meal a more nutritiously balanced plate and help you to feel fuller afterwards.

You can also use the nutrition information panel on the food label to help you make other good choices. Use the table below to help you with quick checks.
