Ingredients Serves 5

  • Vegetables & Fresh Produce
  • 440 grams Canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato puree, salt reduced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 Clove Garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 pieces Medium onion, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup Chopped green capsicum
  • 1 pieces Bay leaf
  • Oils, Sauces & Condiments
  • 1 pieces Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Meat, Poultry & Seafood
  • 500 grams Beef mince
  • Grains, Pasta & Legumes
  • 450 grams Dry fettuccine
  • Dairy & Alternatives
  • 5 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in large saucepan. Add onion, green pepper, garlic and cook until golden.

Step 2

Add meat and cook until brown.

Step 3

Add all other ingredients except for noodles and parmesan cheese. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Lower heat, cover and simmer gently 2 – 2 1/2 hours.

Step 5

Cook fettuccine according to directions on packet. Drain fettuccine, pour into serving dish and cover with the meat sauce.

Step 6

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
